0-7 and has been well held in all his starts so far. Been off since October and probably best watched.

Set to race from 2lb below her winning mark on the AW in January and has hinted at a return to form lately. Was well held last time out(1m2f at Ascot) and needs to conclusively prove this trip suits.

Shown promise on a couple of occasions but her form in Germany is hard to equate at this level and the filly failed to build on her debut run for this yard when she was brushed aside at Wolverhampton last month. Has a bit to prove now.

Won from a 6lb lower mark on the AW last December but has been out of form in all starts this year. Had to recommend just now.

Was in good form on the AW earlier in the year and posted a highly respectable effort when finishing second over C&D earlier this month. Races from the same mark and has to enter the calculations in a weak event.

Ran on well to score over this trip at Brighton on Tuesday and has to merit respect under a 5lb penalty. Shortlisted.

Won a fillies only race here last summer and not ruled out on the pick of her form; been off since January and has dropped to a lenient mark after some poor results. The betting can guide if the return to this course is expected to spark a revival.

C&D winner a year ago but failed to back it up with another win since. Now on a 6lb lower mark so dangerous to underestimate but does need to better recent form.

Age: 5|  Weight: 8-7| J: R Ffrench| T: Mrs L Pearce| OR:  51

On a lenient mark but hard to fancy on recent form; also never won over a trip this far and needs to prove she has the stamina to cope.

Forecasts

Peace Prevails (7/2), Lady Alavesa (7/2), Couldn't Could She (4/1), Le Maharajah (5/1), Hard Toffee (11/2), Lucky's Dream (8/1), Movie Star (20/1), Oceanus (20/1), Conqueress (100/1)

Verdict

The quick reappearance under a 5lb penalty is an interesting move for Couldn't Could She, who was well backed when she won at Brighton on Tuesday and has to merit consideration here. (Odds permitting she may be worth a saver.) However, HARD TOFFEE has some decent form to his name inthe context of this race and, after a near miss last time out, he may be the better value option on this occasion. Peace Prevails and Oceanus fit the bill as horses who act well at this particular course and are also worth bearing in mind for places in the frame.
  1. Hard Toffee
  2. Couldn't Could She
  3. Peace Prevails
