Impressive winner here last week and a penalty still leaves him 3lb "well in" judged on new official ratings. Slower conditions are forecast but there are soft ground winners in his pedigree.
Travelled strongly into contention last time but could not match the winner for pace. Gets a stiffer test here but opening mark looks high enough.
10-race maiden who is at home on a soft surface. A change of tactics almost paid off last time and the slightly shorter trip here will be expected to help.
Showed some ability on his second start at Redcar (1m1f, soft) last year, but below that level in two starts since then, including on reappearance after being gelded/wind surgery.
Scored on soft ground at Doncaster at the back end of last season. Only beat one home in a big field on return to action, when drawn on the favoured side, and much better will be required here.
Suited to some give in the ground and ran a solid race on a faster surface last time when beaten by a horse who has defied a higher mark since. Enters the reckoning on that form.
No match for Wild Hope here last week and his best efforts have come on fast ground. Hard to see why he should turn the tables on these terms with few clues in the pedigree that the expected conditions will help.
Finally off the mark in a first-time visor at Southwell three weeks ago and clearly suited to slow conditions. Effective on turf but revised mark makes this a much more difficult task.
Has raced exclusively on easy surfaces with his sole effort of note coming on heavy ground at Ayr on second start. Disappointing favourite on comeback run and cheekpieces applied this time.
Form has deteriorated with each run and latest effort was really poor. Nothing in the pedigree indicates the expected slower conditions will bring the improvement required.

WILD HOPE was highly impressive when beating Barasti Dancer here last week and a penalty, offset by his rider's claim, still leaves him 3lb below his revised official mark. There are soft ground winners in his pedigree so forecast conditions may not be such a problem. Stronsay and Lightning Attack are two prominent racers who ran well off their current marks last time and both are at home on a soft surface. Global Gift is unexposed but has work to do to defy his opening handicap mark, whilst Olivander and Blazing Dreams are others who have stiff tasks at the weights.
