Fair sort on the Flat, returns from almost 300 days off starting out over timber for new trainer and ranks as an unlikely scorer.

Four bumpers and three starts in this sort of company have brought very little encouragement and seems unlikely to be troubling the judge this time.
Strong stayer on the Flat, winning five times and rated. Promising start over timber when 6L second at Plumpton (2m, good; 12-1) recently and there should be more to come. Can go well here.

King's Theatre gelding, form in point-to-points of late reads FPP3P-P and others make more appeal in this line-up as a result.

Showed a respectable level of form over middle distances on the Flat in France. Big prices in both novice hurdles since arriving in Britain, appeared set to inherit modest runner-up finish here last time only to fall at the last.

2,500 gns three-year-old Vocalised gelding. Makes rules bow and Harry Cobden a positive booking. Worth a market check.

Just over 10L third of seven on hurdling bow at Fontwell (2m1½f, good; 15-2), a promising start in this sphere. Winner has won again since and stable are in flying form right now (6-17). On the shortlist.

Sprint-bred Piccolo gelding who cost just £600. Hasn't shown anything in two starts to warrant support, latest when pulled up on hurdling bow at Exeter this month. Gets a hood/cheekpieces added now.

Not sighted under rules from December 2015 until this month (well held in Wincanton maiden over hurdles). Did win a point-to-point in January but has work to seemingly if hoping to add to tally.

Forecasts

Redemptorist (4/6), Postman (4/1), Good Time Ahead (4/1), Wonderful Dreamer (8/1), Hello Jazz (18/1), Minella Rising (50/1), Fintech (50/1), Gibb Hill (66/1), Spinolo (125/1)

Verdict

Wonderful Dreamer is worth a market check under Harry Cobden but the ones that appeal most on form are Redemptorist and GOOD TIME AHEAD. The former was third behind a subsequent winner on hurdles bow at Fontwell and should go well for a trainer enjoying a rich spell but the selection has winning Flat form France and shaped well on his first start at Plumpton (second) 17 days ago. He can improve and go one better.
  1. Good Time Ahead
  2. Redemptorist
  3. Wonderful Dreamer
