Green as grass earlier this month when last of 12 at Newbury over 7f but this son of Dark Angel should be capable of better with that experience to draw on. Needs to improve considerably to score for in-form yard.

Camelot colt who shaped well when placed on both starts last term but didn't find much for pressure on first start at three when only third at Epsom last month, May have needed the run so remains a contender at this level.

Placed in 4-5 starts but beaten odds-on last time at Wetherby where there appeared to be no excuses. Steps up a furlong and represents top yard so could yet do the job but may not be one to take too short a price about.
Not beaten far when fourth in Lingfield 7f novice on debut last month then appeared not to take to Fibresand and when well beaten at Southwell. Better judged on first effort but still has improvement to find.

Ran well for a long way before losing his action at Wolverhampton on debut then ran better than finishing position indicates when seventh in possibly hot Newbury novice event last time. Open to improvement.

Forecasts

Franz Kafka (8/15), Current Option (13/8), Cool Possibility (28/1), River Dawn (33/1), Potters Question (66/1)

Verdict

The market is likely to centre around Franz Kafka and Current Option, both of whom have ability but neither of whom seems the easiest conveyance. A chance is taken then on RIVER DAWN, who pulled up after losing his action on debut then finished mid-division in what could prove a useful novice event at Newbury recently. In a potentially more trappy affair than it looks, you couldn't rule out either of the other two, Cool Possibility or Potters Question.
  1. River Dawn
  2. Current Option
  3. Franz Kafka
