Bounced back from a fall in the Grade 3 Tophan at the Grand National meeting, when landing a Killarney Grade 3 contest beating Jett a nose earlier this month. Strong place claims.
Appears to be progressing well following solid runs in defeat at Punchestown and Limerick when last seen in March. Expected to be suited by the step up in trip on return to handicap company.
Landed his fifth chase win in 29 starts winning a Kilarney handicap recently over 3m2f off a 10lb lower mark, beateing Auvergnat 8L. Needs to keep improving from his new rating.
Off the mark at the eighth time of asking over the larger obstacles when landing a good ground 2m3½f chase off a 12lb lower mark here earlier in the month. Tough ask from the handicapper.
Solid 138-rated handicap hurdler who won his sole chase start in eight at Navan in December off a 13lb lower mark. Has generally struggled since off harsh rating.
Lightly raced gelding who is one from six over fences. Has failed to finish any of his last three starts with major concerns over his jumping. Can go well but brings plenty of baggage with him.
Winner of tow of his 18 chase starts and has not been in the best of form and it would be a surprise if he can get competitive off his current mark.
Winner of a Killarney handicap over fences on good ground over a marathon 3m2f contest 12 months ago off a 2lb lower mark. Third of 12 beaten over 12L in a Killarney handicap chase over 3m2f recently. Looks up against it here.
Grade 3 winner over both hurdles and fences. Last seen over the larger obstacles when finishing second of four behind Real Steel in a Thurles chase in February. Distance unknown territory.
Winner of three of his 10 starts over fences hitting the frame on one further occasion. Finished ¾L adrift of Peregrine Run at Killarney recently and capable of a good show again.
Two from nine over fences but has been rarely seen in the last 18 months. On balance probably has something to find on return to action in this contest.
Has failed to complete in two chase starts since being beaten quite a long way when finishing in mid-division in the 3m2f Kim Muir Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Needs a couple to falter.
Decent bits of form have diminished since finishing second of 16 behind Dounikos at Punchestown in February. Plenty to prove in this contest looking at exposed form.
First run for this yard after leaving John Nicholson's stable when running creditably in a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse and over fences at Punchestown at the beginning of the month. Should be among the leading players.
First Reserve: Off the mark at the fifth time of asking for connections over the larger obstacles when landing a Punchestown handicap chase off a 7lb lower mark recently. Jumping is a major concern.

It looks a little early in the day to be dismissing the chances of ASK SUSAN following a couple of starts for the champion trainer. The mare shaped well on first chase start for the yard, finishing third of 15 at Punchestown earlier this month and can hold off the potential challenge from stablemate, Pylonthepressure, Killarney winner, Swingbridge and solid jumper, Mall Dini. In a wide-open contest De Name Escapes Me, Peregrine Run and Mrs Lovett are all deserving of consideration.
- Ask Susan
- Swingbridge
- Mrs Lovett
