Ties a new combination of headgear but has something to prove on turf for only the third time in his career. 6lb higher than his last winning mark on the AW so the drop to this grade looks a reasonable option; especially with a 7lb claimer booked.
Has a C&D win to his name and is probably at his best when relatively fresh. Posted a reasonable effort on his return at Bath earlier in the month and might appreciate the drop in grade.
Easy winner of a seller at Ripon last time and looks the pick of the bunch at the weights once again. Drying ground does temper the confidence a tad but with rain forecast the filly might just scrape through.
Won over 7f on his penultimate start but is untried over this trip and was disappointing at just shy of a mile last time. The blinkers might help but the gelding has been unpredictable so far.

Forecasts
Izvestia (2/1), Il Sicario (9/4), Dream Magic (3/1), Harbour Quay (7/2), De Bruyne Horse (8/1), Oofy Prosser (20/1), Ishallak (20/1)
IZVESTIA is the obvious one at the weights and, given the way she won in a similar race at Ripon last time, the filly looks to have been well placed for the follow up bid. Il Sicario has gone well here in the past and comes here on the back of a sound effort at Barth; he makes a tough more appeal than the inconsistent Dream Magic, who look the pick of the rest.
