As much as the form of Alderbrook Lad in this race (1U21) is tempting side with his form when he was last seen was below-par and lacking his usual zip. It may well be that a break and return to his favourite venue will see a better performance but PRINCETON ROYALE offers more solid credentials. It looks as though the key to Neil King’s charge a dual C&D winner is getting into a good rhythm out in front and he should be able to do that here. Ballyvic Boru offers solid credentials but the handicapper may have him in his grasp at the moment with Voix D’Eau looking to exploit a recent wind op and a drop in grade.
