Still early days over fences and he produced his best effort so far when 6½L third at Ffos Las (3m, good; first-time blinkers) last time. Visor now tried, and looks capable of improvement. Claims.
Has so far looked significantly better over hurdles than fences. Well held both chase runs when with Jonjo O'Neill and it was the same on her debut for this trainer at Southwell last time. Much more needed.
Scored here over 2m5½f (good to soft) in March, when 5lb lower. Not as good in both runs since, but no disgrace last time when 6L second in a Perth race (3m, good; first-time visor) working out well. Interesting.
Ran well when less than 2L second on chase debut at Carlisle (2m5f, good) two starts back. Backward step last time, but still time on his side and wouldn't want to write him off.
Forecasts
Potters Story (7/4), Petite Ganache (9/5), Fly Rory Fly (3/1), Cake de L'Isle (7/1)
Potentially trappy, but the suggestion is FLY RORY FLY, who has a course win to his name and proved he sees out this trip last time, in a race working out well enough. Potters Story looks the danger, but at the same time Petite Ganache is probably capable of more than we have seen over fences so far.
