Horse A-Z
French-bred filly who fetched €14,000 this year; 0-4 in bumpers and sent off 200-1 on Flat bow at Salisbury (1m2f, good to firm) nine days ago where finished tailed off; easier to look elsewhere.

Shamardal filly who carries the Royal silks; third foal; half-sister to the 6f juvenile winner First Drive. Unable to justify market prominence on debut in 7f Newmarket maiden nine days ago, finishing 12th of 15 runners.
Slade Power filly Cost 82,000 gns. She has finished a long way off the pace in two starts at Newmarket and Nottingham so far, over similar trips on varying ground (good to firm/soft). May need more time.

Fourth foal by Iffraaj out of the 6f Listed winner Sweet Cecily; cost €130,000 as a yearling. Hinted at ability in three starts during 2018, returns to action and market will be a useful steer.

Siyouni Filly; first foal out of a dam who was placed at Listed level in France. Ran in strong Salisbury Fillies' Novice Stakes (fifth) this month on turf bow. Winner, runner-up and sixth all won since. Not hard to see her going close.

7/2
Well-bred Kingman filly, ran green on debut at Newbury in September before getting the hang of things and rattling home for third. Fair run next time at Newmarket and just denied on seasonal bow at Wolverhampton (7f, AW). Standard-setter.

Forecasts

Neon Sea (1/1), Rhossili Down (7/2), Just My Type (4/1), Parish Poet (6/1), Break Of Day (16/1), Rebecke (20/1), Inspirational (40/1), Avorisk Et Perils (100/1)

Verdict

Rhossili Down probably comes out best on what has been achieved on the track but she hasn't necessarily built on her debut and was a short-price casualty last time on the AW. More interesting therefore is NEON SEA. The filly didn't get too much luck in running at Salisbury last time (fifth) but the form of that race is already looking strong and she can give her master-trainer yet another winner in a rich spell. Parish Poet has potential for improvement on this reappearance.
  1. Neon Sea
  2. Rhossili Down
  3. Parish Poet
