Listed and Group 3 winner as a juvenile, has been in and out of form in four starts at Meydan this winter, getting his head in front in Listed class in February. Unsurprisingly no threat in 2,000 Guineas latest start as 100-1 chance.

Dual scorer over 6f last year, though best effort came when second in the Group 2 Vintage Stakes over C&D; the form didn't exactly prove reliable. Tough ask on reappearance in Newbury Listed event seven days ago, bit to prove all considered.

Useful juvenile, albeit one who seemed a notch below top tier, but he improved to win a 7f Listed race at Lingfield on return in March. Weakened late on in Chelmsford Conditions Stakes (1m) since and best-suited back down in trip handicapping again.

Found Coventry Stakes too hot to handle on his second run (won on debut) last year, though clearly well thought of. Epsom scorer on final outing in July and defied mark of 95 to score on reappearance at Newcastle (7f, AW). Player from 3lb higher.

Has done the bulk of his winning on the AW (3-6), taking a 6f AW Championships FTQ by a neck at Newcastle in February; narrowly beaten in a Listed Lingfield contest thereafter. Recent Ascot run on soft perhaps best overlooked, can do better.

Couple of early wins over 5f last year, before going close in Sandown Listed event. In and out form overall, with close second in Listed AW race at Chelmsford this month followed by no-show at Chester (6f, good to soft; 4-1) in handicap.

Long odds-on when scoring in AW novice at Lingfield in March over 6f, twice been fancied in betting for turf handicaps at Newbury (7f, soft) and Newmarket (6f, good) since without threatening. Finished well last time, so longer trip again may suit.

Won first two last year at Salisbury (6f, good) then found only subsequent Listed scorer too strong in Curragh Sales race in September (multiple winners behind). Likely going to have plenty more to give this term and market a good guide today.

Chelmsford novice winner at two, ended the campaign with two runs in French Listed races, including a close third in the first of them. Found things tough on return for handicap bow at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) but quickly eased 4lb.

Placed on each of her last three starts of 2018 including when a nose second in a 6f Listed race at Newmarket (soft) in November. Yet to add to sole success but ran well enough at Nottingham (6f, soft) recently in Listed company.

No Nay Never filly, took out 6f soft-ground Lingfield fillies' novice a fortnight ago, having previously chased home promising sort at Salisbury. Not a major surprise to see her involved again now sent handicapping.

Lethal Force colt, won two Chelmsford handicaps over 5f at two before being found out in above average Group 3 at Newmarket. Sandown reappearance in April (5f, good to firm; 20-1) leaves him with plenty to ponder for now.

Was odds-on when scoring at Newmarket and Epsom last summer (7f, good to soft/soft) and then struggled with move into handicaps despite market support both starts. Back from a layoff with improvement demanded.

Mr Diamond18

Bated Breath colt proved better suited by sprint distances as a juvenile with nursery wins at Carlisle and Nottingham but he made a winning reappearance at Wetherby (7f, good to soft; 12-1) this month and cannot be dismissed despite ratings-rise.

Forecasts

Flashcard (5/2), Dubai Legacy (5/1), Beat Le Bon (11/2), Chapelli (8/1), Fanaar (11/1), Alhakmah (12/1), Mr Diamond (14/1), Dunkerron (16/1), Sporting Chance (18/1), Deep Intrigue (20/1), Chynna (25/1), Jack's Point (33/1), Prince of Rome (33/1), Indian Viceroy (40/1)

Verdict

Both Flashcard and DUBAI LEGACY are deemed likely to make further progress this summer but the latter benefits from race-fitness now and that might be key. He was game on his reappearance at Newcastle to score and looks sure to improve on that effort. Oisin Murphy's mount isn't passed over easily, with the form of his Curragh defeat last year being decent. Chapelli probably wasn't in love with conditions at Chester last time and may bounce back, while Alhakmah is interesting on handicap bow.
