Made steady rather than spectacular progress under Rules over hurdles (dual Irish point-to-point winner); off the mark at the third attempt. Confirmed the promise of his previous run to beat four rivals at Kempton; has to concede a penalty.
Pulled up more often than not in point-to-points and it's much the same story under Rules (only completed once in last three starts over fences). Now returns to hurdles but fails to make any appeal at all.
Irish point-to-point winner whose form under Rules hasn't gone to plan so far (failed to fire over fences twice). Back over hurdles when last seen he had the race at his mercy (swerved and unseated rider on run-in); cheekpieces now worn first-time.
Dual winner on the Flat at up to 1m2f (scored in a handicap off 78) but his hurdling exploits so far can only be described as low-key. Would have been well behind Sunset Showdown last time but for that one's late mishap; could do better.
