C&D scorer last season in a higher grade. 5lb higher now but has ran respectably since then, and almost secured his first victory since that Bath success back in July. Standout contender on form and is the one they all have to beat.

Veteran who is making his 101st career start today. Made seasonal return to action at this venue 35 days ago but was never involved. Now 1lb below last winning mark but showed on a number of occasions last season he still has what it takes.

8/1
Dark Angel filly who was in sparkling form throughout 2018 registering four wins and three seconds from 12 starts. Form has drastically curtailed in her last two starts, though she must be given another chance in a contest as uncompetitive as this.

3/1
C&D winner who has not been seen for almost a year. Made a winning return to action at this track last season (5f; good) before producing two lesser runs. Hard to know how much ability she retains and stable form is a huge worry. Watching brief.

Verdict

There are questions surrounding a few of these and therefore it is best to stick with LITTLE BOY BLUE who was a winner at this track last year in a much better race. He has held his form well since then and showed signs that he is threatening to win again when just touched off at Brighton last time. Glamorous Rocket is a real head scratcher after she enjoyed a terrific 2018 campaign but has looked lifeless the last twice. She is not one to completely give up on her return to a smaller field affair, while Peace Dreamer is the unknown quantity in the line-up on her return to the track for her trainer who specialises with sprinters.
