Horse A-Z
Point-to-point winner in October, unsuccessful in pair of long-distance Punchestown chases so far under rules and looks an unlikely winner turning to this discipline over shorter trip.

10/1
Winged Love mare. Dam unraced. In good hands ahead of this rules bow and commands a close check in the betting to ascertain stable hopes.
3
Horse silk
8/1
Former placed point-to-pointer started her career not disgraced on hurdles debut in December 2017. Long absence since but showed promise when 9L runner-up in Wexford maiden over this trip last month on second start back.

Corbo Queen19
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-7| J: Danny Mullins| T: P Maher
66/1
Daughter of Mahler out of a Sendawar mare. Half-sister to point-to-point winner Along The Reeks. No impression as a 50-1 chance in bumper at Punchestown festival recently. Others preferred.

Horse silk
14/1
Huge improvement on previous form when runner up at 50/1 over hurdles last time at Cork (2m3f, good to yielding), though has since run poorly back at the Mallow track in a bumper.
Poor form exhibited in first three start over timber continued last week at Killarney, hard to make any case for what would be a dramatic change in fortune.

7/4
Fairly consistent in four bumpers, placed twice and close up remaining two, though expensive to follow now after Wexford fourth last month (hooded). Runner-up in 2m3f good-ground maiden hurdle at Limerick last month on first try over timber.
8
Horse silk
2/1
Some fair bumper form in the past and stayed on into modest third on hurdling bow at Killarney (2m6f, good) recently. May have more to offer down in trip for leading trainer.
9
Horse silk
66/1
Dubai Destination mare finished tailed off in a Clonmel bumper in 2017 on sole outing under rules, more recent form in point-to-points doesn't inspire notion of a winning return here.
10
Horse silk
25/1
By Arcadio out of an Anshan mare. Half-sister to useful bumper winner Billionaire. Beaten close to 17L in 2m2f good-ground bumper here this month; her first start under rules. May improve.
11
Horse silk
33/1
Daughter of Getaway out of a Saddlers Hall mare related to Getabird and Verdana Blue. Not disgraced on hurdling debut at Cork last month and decent chance there will be more to come.
12
Horse silk
Gone Galavanting192
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: K C Sexton| T: Peter Fahey| OR:  96
16/1
Slight improvement last year in a couple of start after going up in trip to 2m4f in maiden hurdles, though final start in November brought wide-margin defeat in a 2m6½f Thurles handicap. Back from a layoff.
Form in five outings in this sphere makes for grim reading, early fall over 3m at Cork last month ensuring she's now failed to complete in 3-5. Hard to make any legitimate case for again.
14
Horse silk
40/1
Daughter of Jeremy out of a Beneficial mare. 40-1 and not without promise on hurdling introduction here a fortnight ago over 2m. Point-to-point winner ought to be suited by going up in distance now.
15
Horse silk
66/1
By Beneficial out of a Deploy mare. Half-sister to 2m3f-3m2f smart hurdle winner Holywell. Well beaten and no impression in four career hurdles starts to date, hard to make a case for.
16
Horse silk
66/1
Daughter of Stowaway out of a Saddlers Hall mare. Sister to fairly useful hurdler Secret Door. Lacked fluency on hurdling debut at Cork over this trip last month and since finished tailed off over 2m here. Big ask on that form.
17
Horse silk
100/1
Mare by Court Cave, inexpensive €3,800 purchase as a three-year-old. Well held in a couple of bumper performances and similar tale from two hurdling outings so far; latest over 2m here earlier in the month. Up in trip.
18
Horse silk
16/1
Twice placed bumper performer has ran moderate races over hurdles in three starts to date, including when sporting first-time tongue tie at Punchestown (2m½f, good) eight days ago and finishing 17+L fourth of eight. May improve.

Verdict

Having made a pleasing start over hurdles at Killarney when third behind more experienced rivals, DONA KATHARINA has her chance to get off the mark now. She'll have learned plenty and may well be suited over this shorter trip, while trainer Gordon Elliott has his string in red-hot form currently. Dolly Dancer has been consistent in bumpers and hurdles so far, though she's calling for deep pockets from her supporters now. She'll likely run well while Cash Me Outside shaped well at Wexford recently and bares consideration alongside Vic's Little Miss, who stayed on from a long way back at Punchestown last time and gets a longer trip now in which to lodge her claim.
  1. Dona Katharina
  2. Vic's Little Miss
  3. Dolly Dancer
