Placed twice from 12 starts over hurdles and has been well held at Limerick and Sligo recently, including upped to 2m4f in first-time blinkers (retained) 25 days ago; stiff task again on form.

Showing plenty of promise in a number of starts in a summer hurdling campaign last year. Possibly needed the run back when finishing 49L adrift of Scotch Quay at Fairyhouse last month. Went close sole previous try under this rider, noted booking.

98-rated handicap hurdler has achieved very little in four starts over timber so far and finished down the field in a Punchestown Flat (Charity) race last month. Hard to make case for.

Showed some promise on debut in a bumper at Listowel in September (2m4f, heavy) but beaten huge margins in four starts since and hard to fancy now going handicapping for the first time given levels of improvement demanded.

Two-time winner over hurdles last season, comes here fit and well after fair Limerick run no the Flat and looks as liable as any to take this prize away.

Down the field in Tramore handicap hurdle on return to action, has now gone 15 runs since last win in 2017 and may extend the sequence here.

Much the best of hurdling efforts came last time at Fairyhouse (2m, good to yielding; 33-1) when beaten just over 10L sporting first-time tongue tie (retained). Can harbour place claims if building on that now.

Dual winner on the Flat at modest level, though 0-9 so far over timber. Returned from a break with improved showing at Tramore (2m, good; 16-1) when under 5L away in third of 15. That puts her in the shop window for a race such as this.

Son of Arcadio out of a mare who ran three times under rules, unfancied and never much of a factor on three starts to date in maiden hurdles. Looks a tall order on form shown now sent handicapping.

Won a maiden hurdle at Clonmel this time last year over 2m on good ground. That now his only win from nine over hurdles. Chance on these terms, though remains vulnerable to an improving sort.

Lightly-raced since a busy 2017 campaign. Landed a gamble at Wexford yesterday, winning by a whopping 23l, with Zayriyan back in third spot.

0-27 over hurdles now, but has been running with consistency of late over variety of trips, including when third of 15 in handicap hurdle at Cork (2m4f, heavy) in March. Exposed sort, should run his race as normal.

Big prices in three maiden hurdles at Limerick and Cork so far, not without hints of promise in middle outing and commands a look in the betting now tackling a handicap with that run in mind.

Liclasht146
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-1| J: S A Shortall| T: S Ryan| OR:  84| D

Two from 19 starts over hurdles and losing run goes back over two years landing a Limerick handicap off a mark of 89 on heavy ground. Potentially well-handicapped with tongue-tie added and Shane Shortall back on board.

Continued sequence of sub-par efforts when eighth of 17 in handicap hurdle at Down Royal (2m½f, good) this month at Down Royal, ensuring she's got plenty to work on here.

Has twice run well around Wexford recently, without exactly looking like winning. Long-standing maiden over timber will probably find a few too strong in the finish again.

12-race maiden hurdler who has not been seen since pulling up at Leopardstown in July 2017 when in the care of trainer Anthony McCann. Best watched on return from long layoff.

Verdict

The booking of Paul Townend suggests an improved run is anticipated from I'm Serious, with any strong market move to be noted. However, the one that appeals on form is STILL ALIVE, twice a winner over timber last term and coming in here off the back of a pleasing prep on the Flat at Limerick. Liclash may be on a winnable mark and has got on well with Shane Shortall in the past, while yesterday's easy Wexford winner Charle Brune now turns up here in a very different light.
