Lightly raced Nathaniel filly can offer few excuses for her latest defeat although it was an improvement on her seasonal bow. This may be a weaker race but she is not one to take a short price about.

Bumped into an in-form mare last time but indicated he had improved greatly for his comeback run. Not easy to win with, but a hood has clearly delivered some benefits.

Dropped to an attractive mark but not quite been able to exploit the opportunities presented to him. Below par when last seen and likely to need this.

Has won three of his last five on AW and stole the race from the front last time. Off a couple of months since and up in the weights, but has run well off higher in the past on turf and still enters calculations here.

Failed to make much progress for Roger Charlton and was beaten more than 7L on handicap debut. This will be her first race on turf and she may have too many questions to answer.

Was a surprise winner over C&D last May but has been inconsistent since. Has a really difficult task here from 12lb out of the weights.

Forecasts

Ocala (5/6), Anif (11/4), He's Our Star (7/2), Ragstone View (13/2), Outer Space (14/1), Be Thankful (20/1), Tally's Son (20/1)

Verdict

Ocala is less exposed than her rivals but appeared to have little in hand of this mark at Wetherby and she could be risky at the forecast odds. Ragstone View was unlucky to meet a mare at the top of her game last time and a hood may yield more improvement. ANIF has flourished in his new surroundings and, although up several pounds for his latest win, he still has plenty in hand on the best of his turf form and may prove the most reliable option.
  1. Anif
  2. Ragstone View
  3. Ocala
