C&D winner finished a good third in a handicap over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start. Struggled at Kempton (1m3f) subsequently and capable of putting that latest effort behind him.

Ended 2018 with a victory in a 1m2f novice race at Lingfield in December. Pleasing third in a small field 1m2f handicap at Yarmouth (good-to-firm) on seasonal debut a month ago and likely to have improved for the run.

Returned from a break with a victory in a handicap over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton last month. Raised 5lb for that victory and is of interest having won here in the past.

Course winner and completed a Wolverhampton double when winning over an extended 1m1f on his penultimate start. Met trouble in running when fifth over the same C&D last time out and is one to note on this occasion.

Ran well when third in a 1m handicap at this venue in March. Well beaten upped to this trip at Newbury (good-to-soft) last time out. Return to the AW in his favour and has won here in the past.

Winner of three races during 2017 but relatively lightly-raced since. Fair seventh over 1m on seasonal debut here last month and interesting to see how she fares in this contest.

Placed on both starts since joining this yard including when ½L third over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton earlier this month. Escaped a rise for that effort and is a notable runner in this event.

Mainsail Atlantic (5/2), Global Art (10/3), Paco's Prince (11/2), Badenscoth (6/1), Dommersen (13/2), Philamundo (10/1), Oh It's Saucepot (11/1), Star Of Southwold (SP)

Verdict

BADENSCOTH met trouble in running when fifth last time out and he is taken to regain the winning thread with a victory in this 1m2f handicap. The selection had been in good form prior to that and he can see off his rivals here with Paco's Prince capable of claiming second ahead of Global Art who was a winner last time out.
  1. Badenscoth
  2. Paco's Prince
  3. Global Art
