Winner and runner-up in two Newcastle AW novice contests last summer. Makes his handicap/turf debut for a leading stable and is one for the short list.
Landed a 6f novice event at this course last summer, but finished last of 13 on handicap bow at Newmarket on only subsequent start. Down 3lb for seasonal reappearance.
Won four times when trained by Chris Wall with three of those victories being registered at this venue. Starts out for a new trainer following a winter break.
Out of sorts since landing a 1m Newbury handicap in June, 2017. First run for fourth trainer in two years and can only be watched in first-time cheekpieces.
Enjoyed a fair amount of success when trained by Chris Dwyer and has her first run for a new stable. May be sharper for this first outing since November.
Has been running respectably of late and that was very much the case when a close fifth of seven at Lingfield last time. Creeping down the handicap and may pop up at some stage.
In really good form on the AW towards the end of last season. Also ran well to be second over this C&D in June so one to note as she makes her seasonal reappearance.
Pleasing return to action when 1L second of five at Brighton last month. Should be sharper for the run and competes off the same mark.
Returning to turf following a spell on the AW when a nose second of eight over 1m at this venue a week ago. Drop back to 7f not ideal, but he is respected given that latest effort.
Respectable efforts on the AW in the autumn, but has been on the sidelines since. Record of 0-7 on turf is offputting, but he is in good hands and has time to come good.
