Winner of two of his nine starts over hurdles. Landed a 2m3½f contest at Clonmel in January before being overwhelmed at the Cheltenham festival in the Martin Pipe. Second on latest start and more at home in this company.
Made a winning reappearance/chase debut over 2m5f at Fairyhouse in November on good ground but built on that run in three subsequent starts since. Hard to fancy but cannot be completely dismissed representing respected connections.
Won a Wexford handicap off a 4lb lower mark in June on stable debut. Well held and disappointing since. Not seen since October and best watched on delayed return.
Off the mark at the fourth time of asking in a Fairyhouse maiden over 2m last month. Significant step up in trip but likely to be popular in the market all the same.
14-race maiden for trainer Jessica Harrington including 12 defeats over hurdles. Nothing of note in a couple of starts for new connections and unlikely to be playing a part at the business end of proceedings.
Forecasts
Great White Shark (11/10), Daybreak Boy (7/4), Poli Roi (4/1), Mistheatre (33/1), Better B Quick (100/1)
DAYBREAK BOY appeared overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of his Cheltenham festival appearance when finishing well down the field in the Martin Pipe. The Henry De Bromhead-trained gelding can get back to winning ways here at the expense of potentially improving sort, Great White Shark for the willie Mullins/Paul Townend combination and Poli Roi who should be settling for third.
- Daybreak Boy
- Great White Shark
- Poli Roi
