Useful 88-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer Jim Bolger and had been running well in defeat in three starts over hurdles before a 87L reversal at Down Royal when last seen in January on handicap debut. Appears a tough ask.
One from 18 over hurdles, hitting the frame on a further four occasions. Last seen in January finishing second of 20 beaten ¾L at Gowran Park. May need to come back down the handicap before consideration.
Modest 57-rated handicapper on the Flat and well held in a number of dismal maiden hurdle efforts to date. Seventh of 12 beaten over 7L on handicap hurdle debut in February. Plenty to find on recent offerings.
One from 18 over hurdles and running well in defeat on comeback in March at Clonmel finishing second of 17 behind Scotch Quay. Capable of a big run if in the mood.
Took a big step forward in her development when improving to finish fourth of 25 beaten 3½L in a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle over 2m4f last month. Should be a leading contender in this company.
Upped 8lb for winning a 2m4f Fairyhouse handicap two starts back she ran fairly well next there when seventh of 14. Pulled up on latest start over 2m here last month. May be struggling off current mark.
101-rated chaser comes back to hurdles where the Tikkanen mare is yet to hit the frame in nine starts. Well held over the larger obstacles on latest start earlier this month at Punchestown. Plenty more needed in this group.
Began to show a bit more promise when stepped up to 2m4f at Tipperary finishing fourth of 14 in October. Well held since including on handicap debut when last seen in March. Overall record casts doubt on her ability to get competitive here.
Hasn't shown a great deal in five starts under Rules nor in two earlier point-to-point starts. First time cheepices unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow here.
Forecasts
Deilginis (9/4), Trans Wood (9/2), Euro So Brave (5/1), Simple Steps (6/1), Dawn Hoofer (8/1), Vinabell (12/1), Mizz Monroe (12/1), Aunty Audrey (16/1), Flying Vacation (33/1)
The Joseph O'Brien-trained, DEILGINIS is would have to improve much on her fourth of 25 at Fairyhouse last month to land the spoils in a weak looking renewal. The Flemensfirth mare was only 3½ adrift of the winner in a race that has produced the second and 13th to win since. Euro So Brave, who deserves a change of luck and Flying Vacation in first-time cheekpieces appear capable of hitting the frame.
- Deilginis
- Euro So Brave
- Flying Vacation
