Showed fair form when placed twice in bumpers, and ran to a similar level when 17¼L third of 5 to Boomarang in maiden at Newton Abbot on hurdling debut. Should improve for that considerate introduction.

Son of Tikkanen out of a maiden hurdler. Showd little in a handful of outings in the point-to-point field, and makes little appeal wearing a hood for Rules bow.

Cost just €5,000, and dam had no solid form under Rules. Showed a bit of ability when fourth in an AW bumper at Lingfield in December. More required now hurdling.

Off for almost two years prior to finishing second of 4 to Serosevsky in a novice hurdle at Newton Abbot in August. Pulled up next time, however, and returns from another absence now.

Pretty useful form on his first two starts in bumpers, and progressed again when winning at Exeter a couple of weeks ago in a tongue tie. That aid retained for hurdles bow, and he's much respected.

Homebred gelding by Dr Massini out of a maiden pointer. Fourth on debut between the flags last month, but will do well to improve on that position on hurdles bow.

Overflowt118
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-9| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton
11/2
Promising 5¾L fifth in a 2m bumper at Huntingdon (good) on debut last month, and kept on without being unduly punished on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter. Type to improve markedly, and tongue tie ought to help.
Showed useful form in juvenile hurdles last year for Guy Cherel, and has moved to a yard with a reputation for improving its recruits, so looks to hold rock-solid claims with fitness unlikely to be an issue.

Forecasts

Story Of Friends (4/5), Yccs Portocervo (9/2), Overflow (11/2), Dontcounturchikens (8/1), Spicy Fruity (9/1), Montana Grey (25/1), Gotaloton (66/1), Espressino (100/1)

Verdict

YCCS PORTOCERVO is the one to beat on the form he showed for Guy Cherel in France last year, and should make a bold bid on his debut for new connections. Bumper winner Story of Friends is feared most, although Overflow is open to plenty of improvement having been looked after on his hurdles debut.
  1. Yccs Portocervo
  2. Story Of Friends
  3. Overflow
