Maiden Irish point-to-pointer who was well held in bumpers whilst performing to a modest level so far over hurdles last year in two attempts in this sphere. Didn't really improve on her second run over hurdles; needs others to falter to win this.
Dual bumper winner (both on synthetic surfaces) who struggled to transfer that level of performance to her debut over hurdles. Despite being the market leader her jumping was below-par; made little impression (beaten 10L); improvement may come.
Showed some fair form in bumpers without winning and ran to a similar level on her hurdles debut at Market Rasen. Just lacked the speed to cope last time at 2m and could do with a stiffer test really; this is weak though and she will progress.
The two winning hurdlers in her pedigree give hope that this debut over timber will see her step forward from her one outing so far which came in an Ayr bumper. Needed the experience then and may do better here but does need to show more.
Down the field in a bumper and a novice hurdle and looks to be one for the longer rather than short term. Hard to envisage her getting involved here and one for the handicap route later on.
Made very little show in five Flat outings with the last two coming in lowly AW handicaps at up to 1m2f. Makes her hurdling debut but would need to make a massive improvement to make her presence felt in this.
Flat maiden who was tried at up to 1m2f in that sphere but showed her best but still weak form at 7f. Makes her hurdles debut with a hood on for the first-time but expectations would be low in this discipline.
Forecasts
Henrietta Bell (4/7), Giving Back (11/8), Celtic Sally (16/1), My Mums Posh (25/1), Miss Brooklyn (33/1), Harbour Sunrise (66/1), Mandarin Princess (66/1)
Given that Alan King’s mare Giving Back was deemed good enough to run in a Grade 2 mares’ bumper at Aintree it was rather disappointing to see her well beaten on her hurdling debut. Her two bumper wind came on AW surfaces and there may be a doubt about her ability on turf and it may well be safer to side with HENRIETTA BELL. She looked as though she could do with a little further on her hurdles debut and her bumper form would have been below that of her main rival however a positive ride would see her to good advantage here. The others are a modest crew with Celtic Sally and Miss Brooklyn the pick of the remaining quintet.
- Henrietta Bell
- Giving Back
- Miss Brooklyn
