Zoffany filly took big steps in three starts back in 2017 when winning a maiden on her second start and a Listed second on her third. Well-held in this grade after long layoff just 17 days ago, watching brief for now.

Dual winner last season, over C&D and similar at York, while proving largely consistent otherwise. Ran below best in Newmarket handicap (1m, good to firm); she now takes aim at a winnable Listed prize.

Bated Breath filly who is a half-sister to multiple winners at decent levels of form. Couple of wins at Ffos Las and Chelmsford to start off, though twice come up short in Listed races since, including over 1m4f at Goodwood (good; 16-1) this month.

Newmarket handicap winner (1m, good) off mark of 91 in September 2017, the mare ran well in defeat throughout much of last season and boasts placed form at Group/Listed level. Goes on any ground and should have a leading say back up in trip.

Mastercraftsman filly is a half-sister to multiple winners including smart 7f scorer Parfait. Won five-runner minor event at Chelmsford City (1m2f, AW; 6-4) on second and final start last term. Should have plenty more to offer and this isn't deep.

Changed hands for 160,000 gns in the winter and some interesting winning form in Ireland; behind Shenanigans on stable bow (1m, AW) at Kempton but improved when close third this month at Goodwood (1m, good); both Listed races. Stamina query.

Verdict

This doesn't look the strongest race of its type and it presents SHENANIGANS with a decent chance to earn a win at this level after some near misses. She represents a stable in good form and has no fitness worries after a sound reappearance on the AW last month, while this extra yardage is favourable. Vivianite was behind the selection that day but improved since at Goodwood and can have a say if handling the trip while the lightly-raced Skill Set could have plenty more to offer and is intriguing.
