Back on the Flat after a rather unsuccessful spell over hurdles but is only 1lb above his highest winning mark on the AW; 0-10 on turf though and has a stiff test under top weight.
Won from a 3lb lower mark on his penultimate start but well held back on turf last time. Chances would be boosted by any rain.
Yard going well just now and the gelding ran well enough in defeat at Cork earlier this month to suggest he's still capable of holding his own despite being 8lb above his last winning mark. Another who will be boosted if rain arrives.
Set to race from 7lb above her only previous winning mark and needs to run a lot better than she did when last seen out; the switch to turf can help but has never yet been victorious over this trip.
Ran well over fences last year and has gone well fresh in the past. Still 4lb above his last winning mark on the Flat though. Place claims if at his best but the betting can guide on his first start since last October.
Made good progress on the AW this year and has won three times at Dundalk; gone up 18lb in the handicap as a result though. Career best effort now required.
Made most to win at Killarney last week and has to be respected despite being 8lb higher this time. The gelding tried this trip for the first time but had plenty in hand last time and may not have stopped improving. Well worth considering.
Still a maiden and but has shown ability on a couple of occasions before now; well beaten on seasonal return at Leopardstown last month but should be sharper for the run. Another to monitor closely in the betting.
Arrives in good form and potentially still has more to offer. Career best effort required but has strong claims on this season's form and not ruled out of gaining compensation for a near miss last time out.
Winner of a weak race on the AW in February but held twice since; well beaten from this mark last time and now has a bit to prove; 0-8 on turf so far.
Forecasts
Happy Company (11/4), Solomons Seal (4/1), Art Of America (5/1), Wild Shot (7/1), The Last Marju (8/1), Secret Wizard (9/1), New Vocation (11/1), Wooster (12/1), Duquesa Beach (33/1), Polly Glide (33/1)
All of these come with risk attached but SOLOMONS SEAL is flourishing at the right time and he can take this step up in trip in his stride to record back-to-back victories for the first time in his career; Happy Company and The Last Marju are forwarded as the two most likely candidates that are capable of spoiling the party for the selection. Art Of America is another to bear in mind if any rain gets into the ground.
- Solomons Seal
- Happy Company
- The Last Marju
