Ex Jim-Bolger resident who was runner-up to Saxon Warrior on debut and easily landed a Gowran handicap (1m1½f) in June. Probably needed the run on debut for new yard at Bath last month, and better expected now.

Unsuited by Fibresand on penultimate start, but won on stable debut at Pontefract (1m), and back to form when 1½L second of 7 to Kripke there last time. Every chance if he stays this longer trip.

Won at Wolverhampton, Chelmsford, Bath and Sandown between 7f and 1¼m, and probably needed the run when only fifth of 6 at Brighton on her return, shaping much better than the bare result. Will go well with that behind her.

Back to form on debut for current yard when second at Wolverhampton, but disappointing at Pontefract next time in a race he had won before. Needs to bounce back.

Casement (7/4), Geetanjali (9/4), Meagher's Flag (5/2), Billy Roberts (6/1)

Verdict

GEETANJALI was a bit too free when below her best at Brighton on seasonal reappearance, but that will have put her spot-on, and she looks the safest bet in a race where all four have claims. Casement needs to prove his stamina at this trip, but will be a big danger if he does stay. Meagher's Flag is another who should be better for a run, and drops to a more suitable trip to boot.
