On a good mark judged on his hurdling form of two years ago, but mixed record more recently, and has run poorly on his last two starts in this sphere.
Ran well when 1¾L fourth of 13 to Wot A Shot in a 2m handicap at Musselburgh in January, but below that form since, and markedly so at Perth last time. Blinkers reached for now.
Scored at Cartmel last June, but has been out of sorts for some time since that, and makes little appeal on his first start since November.
Lightly raced since finishing second at Newcastle last April, and may have needed the run when down the field on his return from a break at Hexham last time. Needs to step up markedly.
Scored in good style over hurdles at Carlisle before being turned over at odds-on at that venue in October. Back to best when third on the Flat at Newcastle last month, and remains well treated in this sphere.
Best effort over hurdles when 13L third of 7 to Canny Style here in November, but that is very much a standout, and he has struggled badly of late.
Won a couple of hurdle races when he was with this yard initially, and then lost his way badly for Conor Dore. Has fallen a long way in the weights, and every chance he will have his enthusiasm rekindled now back with his former trainer.
Won a lowly seller at Catterick in March, and ran with credit when 14½L fourth of 12 to First of Never over C&D last time. Limitations exposed, but place claims if things fall his way.
Ran quite well when fourth at Cartmel in July, but he's been very disappointing since, and isn't one to trust at the best of times.
Poor performer on balance and handicapped accordingly. Hard to see him winning, but has place claims if a change of headgear can coax him back to form.
His second at Carlisle in March came in a very weak affair, and he is effectively racing off 6lb higher here as he's out of the handicap. Hood tried in place of usual cheekpieces, but hard to fancy.

Royal Beekeeper (8/11), Zabeel Star (9/4), First Of Never (4/1), The Character (14/1), Mac Cennetig (20/1), Hey Bob (20/1), Alfiboy (33/1), Kisumu (40/1), Wor Verge (50/1), Cyrano Star (50/1), Hartside (50/1), Imperial Focus (50/1), Golden Town (66/1), Rapid Fritz (66/1)
Very few make any appeal, and the pair to concentrate on are Royal Beekeeper, back with Dan Skelton after a barren spell for Conor Dore, and ZABEEL STAR, who remains very well treated over hurdles compared to his Flat form, and was back to his best at Newcastle recently. Hey Bob and First of Never have decent place claims, but need the others to falter if they're to win again.
