Made all and galloped on very gamely to score at odds of 33/1 at Cheltenham (2m, good) in October 2017. Tailed off on reappearance and best watched until promising more.
Poor on both runs since his Ludlow victory but he was diagnosed with a muscle problem on his penultimate start. His last two victories have come off marks of 110-111 so he may be need to drop a little down the handicap.
No hurdles win since October 2016, or on the Flat since August 2017. Stays well and acts on good ground. Has joined a very capable trainer, who has a good record of reviving others' cast-offs, but his debut suggested he has a lot to do.
Without a win since January 2015 and blinkers failed to inspire last time. Hard to fancy in his current mood.
3-4 here and escapes a penalty for a win over fences on Monday. Stable off to a flying start to the new season and he will take all the beating.
Picked up three races last summer and nicely weighted on that form. However, he has been rested since October and has never won following a break.
Off the mark when reverting to hurdling at Fontwell in March. Has trip/conditions to suit and his revised mark should be manageable. Shortlist material on that evidence.
Had a hard race at Bangor in March and he has been poor in two starts since. Still 6lb above his last winning mark and others preferred.
Has made the frame in eight of his last nine starts but his last win came in 2017. Lacks a change of gear nowadays and some of his younger rivals are likely to prove too quick.
Won Hexham 2m4f handicap hurdle in May 2017 and ran well to be second at Aintree last June. Not fired however in two starts to date for this yard.
Winner of a poor race at Fontwell who was flattered by a run in better company at Sandown. Moderate since although he may not have stayed 3m2f last time.
Has not been getting home in his latest races and remains a work in progress. Suspicion there is better to come but this looks a tough assignment.

Blairs Cove (8/11), Landofsmiles (4/1), Victarion (9/2), Magna Cartor (9/1), Salto Chisco (10/1), Supakalanistic (14/1), Fenlons Court (14/1), Ruacana (25/1), Don Juan Du Gouet (33/1), King Alfonso (33/1), Samson's Reach (33/1), Bobble Emerald (40/1), Cape Hideaway (50/1)
BLAIRS COVE loves it here and capitalised on his current mark to score over fences on Monday for a third course win. He is equally effective over hurdles and, having escaped a penalty, he looks the obvious call. Victarion has been absent since a successful switch back to hurdling in March, but he will be happy with similar conditions and a generous revised mark. Landofsmiles has produced two big runs on his last two starts and there is nothing wrong with the form. The shorter trip is a concern unless there is a decent gallop and the two known front-runners, Samsons Reach and Bobble Emerald, have been out of sorts.
- Blairs Cove
- Victarion
