If she put her experience to good use then she would hold each-way claims but her penalty makes life a lot harder. Drops down from 1m to 6f which is interesting though. One of two runners in this race for Henry Candy.

Offered a great deal of promise last year when third on both starts over this trip. Although she hasn't been seen since June, it would not be impossible to see her figure here. Has to carry a 10lb penalty though which tempers enthusiasm.

Interesting that her trainer opts to go for another maiden, despite the fact she is qualified to run in a handicap. Quickly becoming an extremely frustrating sort though and has been beaten as favourite on all three career starts. Risky proposition.

Well related but would need to improve a fair bit on the basis of her debut effort at Kempton (6f) at the back-end of last season.

Kodiac filly whose dam was an unraced half-sister to Group 1 winner Kingsgate Native. Could well make presence felt on debut for powerful connections. Trainer operating at a 30% strike-rate.

Smart form on sole run to her name when fourth behind Urban Icon at Windsor(6f). Not seen since that run which was almost a year ago so has obviously been held up with injury, but she was sent off as the 11/4f. Fascinating contender.
Cost 2,000gns as a yearling and hasn't cut much ice in two runs so far. Best watched until entering handicap company.

Made an extremely promising debut when second at Doncaster (6f) in April, staying on from a fair way back under an educational ride to snatch second at the line. The form of that race is open to question, but she should be bang there.

Unraced three-year-old filly who is a half sister to the yards Group 1 star Twilight Son. Intriguing contender especially if the market speaks in her favour.

Sent off at 150-1 and ran accordingly when tailed off on debut at Kempton (7f). Impossible to fancy.

Bated Breath filly who cost 8,000gns as a yearling. Made a modest debut at Wolverhampton (6f) and is probably best watched until entering handicaps.

Tapisserie (10/11), Alhakmah (7/4), Hassaad (8/1), Mrs Discombe (12/1), Raincall (14/1), Quirky Gertie (14/1), Rose Hip (20/1), Twilighting (20/1), Fanny Chenal (40/1), Victory Rose (50/1), Secret Treaties (80/1), Vereta (100/1)

Verdict

There are question marks surrounding a few of these who haven't been seen for a while for reasons unknown, such is the case with Quirky Gertie, who if able to reproduce the form of her sole career run would arguably be the one to beat. It wouldn't be a complete shock if Alhakmah was to finally win at the fourth attempt, although she is not one to have complete faith in as her record suggests. Therefore, the safest option is to side with TAPISSERIE whose debut effort promised plenty, and granted natural improvement she can go one better today.
  1. Tapisserie
  2. Quirky Gertie
  3. Alhakmah
