Possesses some solid handicap form such as when finishing 5th behind subsequent Lincoln scorer Auxerre at Kempton (1m) back in October. This represents his best chance for some time of regaining the winning thread.
A lot depends on how fit he is (only horse in the race making his seasonal reappearance) but this isn't a particularly strong contest and he would appear to hold an each-way chance at the very least.
Having just his second start today on the All-Weather after making a low key return at Wolverhampton (7f). Previously finished last of nine before that on final start of last season and needs to do a lot more if he wants to get involved.
Was in fine form prior to being turned over at odds-on (5/6f) on his second start of last season. Found life tough since and is subsequently 2lb below his last winning mark.
Uninspiring of late and will need to step up a fair bit on what he has been showing lately. Would have place claims in this if able to reproduce his two third-placed efforts to Keyser Soze which he achieved at the turn of the year.
Ran in snatches when fifth at Chelmsford (7f), and it is fair to say he would have gone much closer if granted a clear run. That was an improvement on what he showed last season, so must be a real player if able to reproduce a similar run.
Made a successful return to action at this track (1m) last month. However, he is back up markedly in class today and is hard to fancy on the basis of his profile prior to that winning reappearance.
Forecasts
Regimented (10/3), War Glory (7/2), Lamloom (9/2), Salt Whistle Bay (5/1), Swift Approval (5/1), Here's Two (13/2), Sir Titan (16/1)
A relatively low-grade affair in which Richard Hannon seems to hold all the aces. WAR GLORY hasn't ran in as poor a race as this for some time and hasn't disgraced himself lately finishing behind the likes of Auxerre. The other Hannon-trained runner, Regimented, is likely to prove the biggest danger after an eye-catching reappearance effort, while Sir Titan would not need to be A1 to be involved at the business end of the race after a 223-day absence.
