Consistent type who is actually the only one in this field with a Group 3 victory to her name. 3lb penalty to shoulder but no surprise to see her involved at the finish, even though she is vulnerable to improvers.
Ran better than her finishing place suggested when sixth in a competitive handicap at Newmarket (6f). The form of that race has been franked since and if able to come on from that reappearance run she should be bang there.
Three time winner from 11 starts. Hard to assess the strength of her overall form though it is interesting that her trainer has booked Ryan Moore for the ride.
Usually runs her race at this level and did nothing wrong when third behind Dream Of Dreams at Chelmsford (6f) recently. This looks a slightly easier assignment which should see her finish in the placings once again.
Signed off her 2018 campaign with Listed success at Newmarket when looking as though an extra furlong would not cause any inconvenience. Has obvious claims for trainer who tends to improve horses as they get older.
Very likeable filly who enjoyed a productive campaign last year winning three of her four starts (the last of those at this level). Still lightly raced after just the six career stars, so with further improvement to come she is difficult to oppose.
Finished down the field on seasonal return in Listed company at Kempton (1m). Should strip fitter for that and she did finish second at Listed level prior to winning a similar event on her final run of last season. Likely to be up against it today.
French raider who receives weight from all seven of her rivals with her being the only three-year-old in the race. Posted some creditable efforts at this level and it would be foolish to underestimate this Showcasing-filly.
Forecasts
Pretty Baby (15/8), Devant (11/4), Eirene (8/1), Betty F (9/1), Perfection (10/1), Cherry Lady (10/1), Dancing Star (10/1), Shepherd Market (16/1)
Cheveley Park Stud enjoyed a fruitful Jumps season but they are better known for their classy Flat campaigners, and in the shape of Perfection this talented grey may well be able to continue that theme as the year goes on. However, the vote goes to PRETTY BABY who has done very little wrong so far in her career and with the salivating prospect of even more to come she can take this for her trainer who excels with such types. Betty F can follow the two at the head of the market home.
- Pretty Baby
- Perfection
- Betty F
