Pedigree suggests that she will make a mark over hurdles (related to winners) after three efforts in bumpers. Shaped as if better for the run last time still looking rather green; might need this introduction over timber lacking experience of others.

Back to this venue for the first time since taking the bumper on this card last year; changed yards, had two attempts over hurdles since. The two efforts over 2m in maiden hurdles offered something to work on; has to be shortlisted.
Tongue-tie on for Rules debut having unseated her rider on her only effort in point-to-points. Dam was a winner in that sphere; suspect the yard have better chances with their runner in this; best watched for now.

Well held on all of her starts in bumpers and over timber completing for the first time over jumps on the most recent occasion but still offering little. Further and low-key handicaps may be the recipe for success in the future but not for today.

Well found in the market on her bumper debut (backed at long odds into 9-1) she showed little beating just two home. Fared no better after a short break switched to hurdles (this time a 100-1 chance); much more needed to be involved here.
Considering the promise that she showed on her Wetherby bumper debut finishing a good second the two subsequent runs in the same discipline have been disappointing. Makes her hurdles debut; given her pedigree longer trips are needed to see her best.

Hurdles efforts since joining this yard from Mark Johnston are solid without being spectacular the latest coming after a recent wind op up in trip. Not ideally placed to strike last time she should do better here against weaker opposition.

Forecasts

Dollys Destination (8/13), Gemologist (9/4), See The Sea (3/1), Artichoke Heart (11/1), Danced Every Dance (20/1), Refer To Rory (25/1), Apache Valley (66/1), Western Supernova (100/1)

Verdict

The course form of the Irish raider Dollys Destination has to be of assistance to her but she has hurdles to encounter this time although the form of her two maiden hurdles doesn’t amount to much. SEE THE SEA is preferred on the basis of her good Flat form and a hurdles debut that showed she needs to be taken seriously in this bumping into one who had more experience and won again next time out. Gemologist failed to get the run of things last time but her overall record suggests she’s not one for maximum faith. All of the others have work to do with the principals based on what they have done so far and should struggle to get involved in the 1-2-3.
  1. See The Sea
  2. Dollys Destination
  3. Gemologist
