Off the mark at the second time of asking when winning over this trip at Doncaster (good) last time out. One for the shortlist despite having to concede weight to all of his rivals.

Shown ability in two starts so far most recently when 2L third over this trip at Salisbury (good-to-firm) last month. Likely more needed on AW debut however.

Best effort in three starts to date came when finishing fifth over 7f at Longchamp (good) last September. Well below that form at Chester subsequently and others make more appeal on seasonal debut.

Promising third over this trip at Kempton in March but failed to back that up when well held over this C&D subsequently. Others hold stronger claims.

Forecasts

Jalaad (5/6), Baraajeel (9/4), Youthful (9/2), Derry Boy (13/2), Jilbaab (12/1), Huddle (66/1), Lady Schannell (66/1), Jojo (80/1)

Verdict

JALAAD is lightly-raced for one his age but he looks capable of conceding weight to his younger rivals to take this novice event. The selection looked above average in breaking his maiden last time out and he can see off the well bred newcomer Baraajeel who can take second ahead of Youthful who was winner of his sole start last season.
  1. Jalaad
  2. Baraajeel
  3. Youthful
