Only win in 17 hurdles to date came in Ireland in 2016 over 2m. Fair second in handicap at Kelso in October on final start for previous handler but hasn't shone in three runs for current yard and therefore has a bit to prove now.
First run back from a wind op having run well over hurdles (without winning) over the winter. Second at Huntingdon latest would give him a live chance here.
Point winner in March 2018 yet to show enough under rules to be optimistic here although she has changed yards and had a wind-op since last seen.
Narrow Plumpton winner on return from 201 days off and fair effort since off this 4lb higher mark when fourth at Sedgefield. Likely still improving given relative youth so has to be taken seriously.
Nine-race maiden and well held in three most recent starts since sent handicapping. Hard to be enthusiastic.
East Fontwell winner over fences on Boxing Day and back over hurdles off this lower mark for the first time since 2017 and for this yard. Every chance he's improved since so makes plenty of appeal here.
Going nowhere quickly at present and although it wasn't a total disaster at Ludlow three starts ago, he has struggled again the last twice.
Still yet to place in eight over hurdles but 6lb lower than handicap fourth two starts back and filled the same spot since in a selling handicap. Hard to think he can't at least get into the frame for the first time very soon.
Won twice on the Flat in Germany as a young horse but has failed to score under both codes for a variety of trainers since. Tailed off last of nine at Huntingdon two starts back and remote 10th at Newton Abbot since continue his struggles.
Long-standing maiden over hurdles (0-29) and even a repeat of his 3rd over C&D last June would likely only seem him battling for a minor place like he was latest when fourth.
Shown next to nothing so far and was pulled up for the third time in six races latest on handicap debut. Hood and tongue-tie fitted but vast improvement needed.
Went close to springing a 100-1 surprise at Warwick in September, beaten a length into fourth. Moderate since then, including when pulled up at Chepstow and Taunton the last twice so likely be a fair old price again.
Forecasts
Chivers (5/2), Lake Washington (3/1), Enforcement (6/1), Dream Free (8/1), Maroc (8/1), Twycross Warrior (10/1), Little Stevie (20/1), Hes Our Robin (20/1), Los Cerritos (20/1), Rollercoster (25/1), Celer Et Audax (25/1), The Final Whistle (40/1)
The four-year-old ENFORCEMENT has gone well in both starts since a layoff and could still be on the upgrade here against largely pretty exposed and out of form rivals so he looks a safe bet to go close once more. Maroc is yet to win over hurdles but recent efforts suggest his time will soon come and he is rated the biggest threat. Chivers is back over hurdles now after a spell chasing and his lower hurdles mark makes him an interesting sort also.
- Enforcement
- Maroc
- Chivers
