Nicole's Milant53
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: Keith Donoghue| T: S Aherne| OR:  102| D
16/1
Has failed to complete on his three most recent starts over the larger obstacles and returns to hurdles here where the Milan gelding is two from 10. Market likely to be the best guide.

Horse silk
Bomber Jackson192
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-11| J: C Brassil(5)| T: Mrs Y Dunleavy| OR:  101| D
11/1
One from 20 in his hurdling career, the win coming in a Listowel handicap in September off a 6lb lower mark. Plenty to prove on first run following a layoff but very much a leading player in this company.
3
Horse silk
Chestnut Brave364
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-11| J: Sean Flanagan| T: J R Barry| OR:  101| D
16/1
Won her maiden hurdle at Wexford last July but form subsequently following that run. Quite a bit to prove for the mare on first start for 12 months.
4
Horse silk
Princess Mahlert54
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-8| J: Darragh O'Keeffe(7)| T: J J Walsh| OR:  98
8/1
Winner of one of her 14 hurdle starts hitting the frame on a further two occasions. Not won for over 12 months now and appears to need some relief from the handicapper.
5
Horse silk
Rebel Turn77
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-8| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: W J Burke| OR:  98| D
14/1
Has had a very patchy record since returning from a long absence this winter. Left with something to prove on the balance of his form since the turn of the year.
6
Horse silk
Al Sakbt13
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-7| J: S A Mulcahy(7)| T: D Hogan| OR:  97
25/1
Four-race maiden hurdler who doesn't appear to making any progress. The Dansili gelding has struggled in a couple of starts since comeback from a year off and still looking no nearer to breakthrough success.
7
Horse silk
Our Brian12
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-6| J: A W Short(3)| T: P J Rothwell| OR:  96
33/1
Downpatrick winner in July 2016. Was absent for three years when pulling up three hurdles out in a Wexford handicap hurdle last month. Likely to find it tough going here.
8
Horse silk
Running Skeard16
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: D P Holden(7)| T: S G Walsh| OR:  95
33/1
Well-related Beneficial mare. Half-sister to impressive hurdler Classified, and sister to a winner over 2m. Six-race maiden finished tailed off on return to the track at Fairyhouse last month and others make more appeal in this contest.
9
Horse silk
Gotaway103
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: Phillip Enright| T: R Tyner| OR:  94| BF
8/1
Three-race maiden hurdler who has been running well in a number of starts over the larger obstacles since the turn of the year. Entitled to make the shortlist off current mark returning to timber.
10
Horse silk
Eclat Du Larget170
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-1| J: Jack Kennedy| T: M Kennedy| OR:  91
25/1
Half-brother to useful types All Together and Du Soleil but is yet to show hints of ability in four maiden hurdle starts to date. Makes little appeal in this heat.
11
Horse silk
Alice Johnston178
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-0| J: J S McGarvey| T: P Roche| OR:  90
7/1
Poor chaser who is without success in three starts over hurdles. Beaten over 21L on last start over timber in a Kilbeggan maiden over 2m in September. Others look far more convincing at this level.
12
Horse silk
Game Linep113
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: H Morgan(7)| T: Paul Power| OR:  87
25/1
Pulled up and well held on four dismal career efforts over hurdles to date. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
13
Horse silk
Peter's Pence28
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-10| J: L P Dempsey| T: A J McNamara| OR:  86
14/1
Tailed off in a bumper and four maiden hurdles before finishing down the field on handicap debut behind Torquay at Limerick last month. Plenty to prove at present.
14
Horse silk
Byerley Beagt102
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-7| J: D E Mullins| T: S P Hennessy| OR:  83
20/1
Winner of a point-to-point contest in January but not seen on a racecourse since finishing 16L behind the winner in a Clonmel handicap hurdle in September 2015. Hard to fancy and plenty to prove.
15
Horse silk
Madaboy Cross47
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-5| J: K J Brouder(5)| T: T P O'Connor| OR:  81
6/1
Remains a 15-race maiden and her form has been mixed since she returned from a very long time on the sidelines in August of last year, despite a hint of promise at Thurles in March, the mare looks set to struggle again.
16
Horse silk
Courtin Bb21
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-4| J: Sean O'Keeffe(7)| T: P J Duffy| OR:  80
7/1
Winner of two of her 39 starts over hurdles. Finished eighth of 14 beaten 19L on return to action on the Flat at Clonmel last month and could well be battling for prize money on hurdle resumption.
17
Horse silk
Just Another Ladyt1110
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-4| J: C J Orr(5)| T: V T O'Brien| OR:  80
33/1
Has shown next to nothing at huge prices in maiden hurdles and January's handicap debut at Navan pulling up before two out over 2m4f. First-time tongue tie applied.
18
Horse silk
Mlilyp13
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-4| J: Miss J M Cook(7)| T: M Hassett| OR:  80
6/1
Career best came in a Clonmel handicap hurdle over 2m3½f in February when the mare finished second of 17 beaten a little over 3L. Bit of a struggle since and liable to find a couple stronger.

Forecasts

Madaboy Cross (6/1), Mlily (6/1), Alice Johnston (7/1), Courtin Bb (7/1), Gotaway (8/1), Princess Mahler (8/1), Bomber Jackson (11/1), Peter's Pence (14/1), Rebel Turn (14/1), Chestnut Brave (16/1), Nicole's Milan (16/1), Byerley Beag (20/1), Al Sakb (25/1), Game Line (25/1), Eclat Du Large (25/1), Our Brian (33/1), Running Skeard (33/1), Just Another Lady (33/1)

Verdict

Jockey Conor Brassil takes a valuable 5lb off the back of the returning BOMBER JACKSON who was in fine form last year in a summer/autumn jumping campaign. The nine-year-old can land the spoils in a competitive contest here, holding of potential challengers, Gotaway, who can be forgiven last run over the larger obstacles and Courtin Bb who can improve for a run on the Flat at Clonmel last month.
  1. Bomber Jackson
  2. Gotaway
  3. Courtin Bb
