Won 2m Sligo maiden hurdle last year for previous handler but has been disappointing in seven starts over hurdles for top yard this term. Beaten 25L when second last time and steps up considerably in trip.
Third in similar company at Uttoxeter in November but has been dreadful since. Soon in trouble last time and hard to believe cheekpieces alone will be the answer.
Runner-up to a well-backed stable companion last time on second start for this yard. Up 4lb for that and the winner has been well-beaten since, but she remains one of the leading contenders in a poor race.
First signs of ability when runner-up in a mall field at Taunton where she raced keenly and did not have enough left for the finish. Has further to travel here and will need to settle.
Made all to score over 3m3f at Sedgefield in first-time cheekpieces but was soon cut adrift when favourite there next time. Winning rider back on board.
Her second to Malangen in a seller would be good enough here but she is unreliable and her two runs since have not matched that effort. Plenty to find with Lakeside Pearl on her latest run.
Yet to win in seven starts over hurdles, though has ability. Appeared to appreciate step up to this sort of trip on last two starts and has every chance in a bad race.
0-11 under rules to this point and very tough to recommend on evidence to hand and racing from out of the handicap
Forecasts
Talkingpicturestv (11/4), Kahaleesi (7/2), Lammturner (4/1), Lakeside Pearl (11/2), Cock A Doodle Doo (13/2), Ask Catkin (14/1), Cold Fusion (25/1), Remember Me Well (50/1)
This is going to take very little winning and KAHALEESI may be another winner for the Murphy/Johnson combination as she may be open to more improvement than most given her low mileage and being related to a 2m7f winner. Cock A Doodle Doo experiments with a new trip, Lammturner needs to be forgiven a tame effort last time and Lakeside Pearl needs to settle. Talkingpicturestv looks one paced but stays well and is coming down the handicap.
- Kahaleesi
- Talkingpicturestv
- Cock A Doodle Doo
