Showed little on only racecourse appearance in a bumper at Uttoxeter. Obviously best watched on hurdles debut with perhaps the market being the indicator of his chances.
Sketchy form at best over hurdles including four runs at this course. Not one to get excited about even though his trainer has a decent record at this track.
Admirably consistent sort over a variety of trips. Put in his best effort last time out at Sedgefield for new connections and must be close to losing his maiden tag. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Apart from one disappointing run on soft ground at Lingfield, this gelding has been generally consistent in bumpers and over hurdles. His latest run in a novice hurdle at Wetherby was promising and should run well again.
Ran his best race to date last time out at Taunton only tiring in the latter stages when sent off a 100/1 shot. Suspicion is he will find one or two stronger than him in the run-in again.
Looks the clear form pick dropping down to this level. A reproduction of either of his last two runs at Newbury and Ayr should see him being hard to beat.
Forecasts
Chaparral Prince (5/4), Dancing Doug (15/8), Topofthecotswolds (5/2), Vanderbilt (16/1), Call Me Tj (100/1), Stowaway Hall (100/1), Cocker (100/1)
Connections of CHAPARRAL PRINCE seems to have found a decent opportunity for the gelding to get a first win under his belt. Given a clear round he should prove too strong for his rivals. Dancing Doug and Topofthecotswolds look to be his only serious rivals with the latter just edging it if he benefits from the step up in trip.
