Consistent type at this level. Decent effort on his reappearance recently at Warwick. If he can improve on that then he has every chance at this slightly shorter trip.
His stamina came to the fore when scoring nicely last month at Market Rasen after disappointing on his seasonal reappearance. C&D winners should always be considered at this track and hopes will be high for this consistent type.
Has better form over hurdles but his recent efforts over fences give him a slight chance. Needs to improve on his last effort at Fontwell but this does not look a strong contest.
Saves his best for this track and will relish this return to course and distance after failing to see out a slightly longer trip at Huntingdon last time out. Obvious chance on the best of his form.
Open to improvement over fences and put in a useful effort three weeks ago at Exeter. Definite chance if reproducing that form over this slightly longer trip.
Has struggled of late and but has bits and pieces of form in the past most notably when winning back to back races at Hereford and Sedgefield around this time last season. Outside chance if back to best form. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Well beaten or failed to finish on this three races under rules. Not really one to consider and would need to improve dramatically to have any chance. Wears first time blinkers.
Has failed to complete on his last three chase starts. Would have been capable off this weight based on previous efforts from a few seasons ago but no obvious reason he will return to form.
Forecasts
Stonebrigg Legend (5/2), Global Domination (7/2), Butlergrove King (4/1), Kingston Mimosa (13/2), Vexillum (13/2), Tommy The Rascal (11/1), Mon Garcon Frankie (16/1), Bennys Girl (28/1)
GLOBAL DOMINATION has every chance of following up his recent win at Market Rasen given his experience over this course and distance. If he fails to run his race for any reason then it could be Stonebrigg Legend who may take advantage if he can put a disappointing run at Huntingdon behind him. Vexillum and Kingston Mimosa look the best of the rest but both need to improve on recent efforts.
- Global Domination
- Stonebrigg Legend
- Kingston Mimosa
