Seems to enjoy racing at this venue and generally a consistent sort. The return to this level will help but there may be a couple of better weighted horses for him to win but has obvious place claims.

Lightly-raced type who won well enough on his seasonal debut last season at Huntingdon. Entitled to be in the shake up on that form but much will depend his ability to settle at this track. Wears first-time blinkers.

Best form was a couple of years ago but showed his well being when winning well at Taunton two starts ago. May possibly find this trip on the short side but one to consider. Broke a blood vessel last time out.

Ran well over this course and distance earlier this year off and looks nicely weighted for this contest. His jumping remains a cause for concern but has every chance given a clear round.

Best effort for a long time at Kempton last time out but needs to improve markedly to play a role here. Was running well on his penultimate start before falling three from home.

Mulsanne Chasep94
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-12| J: Harry Reed| T: C R Dore

Only raced twice over hurdles but both runs were disappointing. Slightly better form on the Flat but hard to being encouraging of his chances on all the evidence.

Watt Broderickp,t252
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-12| J: Edward Austin(6)| T: Ian Williams| OR:  105| D
11/1
Returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines in 2018 and not disgraced on his last two hurdle outings at Bangor and Stratford. A reproduction of those efforts would give him every chance if ready to go on return.

Forecasts

American Tom (11/8), Movie Set (7/2), Vancouver (4/1), Master Of Speed (9/1), Generous Jack (10/1), Watt Broderick (11/1), Mulsanne Chase (125/1)

Verdict

The lightly-raced MOVIE SET may prove too good for his rivals in this interesting contest as long as his jumping holds up. American Tom is also interesting having run well at this track earlier this year. A clear round should see him go close. Watt Broderick ran well on his only two starts last year and drops a grade for this contest. Course and distance winner Generous Jack should run his race and may take advantage of any jumping weaknesses of his rivals.
