Winner on fast ground at Bath last summer who has been absent since August. Yard have made a slow start so entitled to need this.

Both his victories have been on AW from marks below 70. Not disgraced at Brighton last time, but he never looked likely to catch the winner. This looks easier and top claimer booked.

Scored twice here last year including this corresponding race. On a very good mark, fit from a spin here last week and a highly regarded rider is on board.

Three time C&D winner landed a couple of races last summer off higher marks than this. Tends to need a run nowadays to bring him to his peak.

Went from inconsistent to consistently poor towards the backend of 2018. Starts this season on a career low mark and with his yard in very good form.

Rare failure for a yard that tend to improve their acquisitions from other trainers. Gets more help from the handicapper but has a lot to find with Real Estate on Brighton form.

Winner of 11 races who likes to be up with the pace. Effective from 6f-1m and on a good mark if in better form than when last seen. Young claimer will be having his first ride in public.

Winner from 5f-7f and nicely weighted at present. Should find the going to her liking, but she has hung left in the final furlong in her last two starts (both at this venue).

Landed three races over 5f early last season but needed his first run. This may come too soon and be a furlong too far but worth watching for next time.

Completed a rapid 7f handicap hat-trick at Kempton earlier in the year. Unsuited by Fibresand last time and too keen on his previous start. Worth another try at this trip.

Remains 6lb above his last winning mark and he would want conditions firmer than currently forecast. Did not show enough promise on comeback run and others look more likely.

Age: 4|  Weight: 8-7| J: Toby Eley| T: J J Bridger| OR:  50

Has shown nothing this year and blinkers failed to help him settle last time. Looks set to give his young rider a difficult ride. 6lb out of the weights.

Dalness Expressb1,t39
Age: 6|  Weight: 8-7| J: Aled Beech| T: J G M O'Shea| OR:  46| D

Record of 1-24 and below-par on last few starts. Faces a stiff task from 10lb out of the handicap with blinkers applied for the first time.

Forecasts

Real Estate (10/3), Porto Ferro (7/2), Mooroverthebridge (13/2), Born To Finish (7/1), National Glory (8/1), Another Boy (8/1), Elusif (10/1), Vincenzo Coccotti (12/1), Spot Lite (16/1), Kinglami (33/1), Soaring Spirits (33/1), Aegean Legend (40/1), Dalness Express (50/1)

Verdict

Many of these are likely to want the run or are arriving in poor form. Elusif should make a bold bid from the front, whilst Real Estate will benefit from having a much sought after rider on board even though he looks fully weighted. Last year's winner PORTO FERRO is partnered by a claimer who has been getting good reviews having partnered seven winners this year. John Bridger's mare will be fitter for last week's reappearance and some of her best efforts have come here.
