At his best when allowed to dictate from the front and did just that at Taunton three starts ago, but off 9lb lower mark. Returns from four-month break but is still relatively unexposed so in with a shout.

Fair effort first time under Rules at Newbury but has disappointed on last two outings. Makes handicap bow and will do well to win on back of recent efforts.

Autumn wins at Uttoxeter and Southwell and absent six month since beaten favourite at Fakenham in October. Yard known for having them ready to go after a break so has to be of some interest.

Atlantic Storm105
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: Charlie Hammond(3)| T: B R Summers| OR:  110| DWS
12/1
Landed selling hurdle at Stratford in October the three poor runs over fences. Better last time back over timber at Warwick in January and returns now following wind surgery. Shouldn't be too far away.

Sparky Stowaway104
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-3| J: T J O'Brien| T: P R Webber| OR:  109

Formerly trained in Ireland by Thomas Mullins, and mixed messages in three runs so far for current connections. Shaped well at Leicester in December but ran a shocker back there last time in January.

1m2f Dundalk AW winner on debut in December and subsequently bought £68,000 to go jumping with top British yard. Not shown a huge amount but may be better now after wind surgery and on handicap bow for last year's winning team.

Ran respectably on a number of occasions in the autumn when trained in Ireland but has finished stone last on each of her two runs to date in Britain. On that evidence he has plenty to find. Good jockey booking though.

Struck to her task well when scoring by a neck at Plumtpon recently. 6lb higher but is in good heart and should be on the premises as long as the ground stays good.

Age: 4|  Weight: 11-0| J: David England| T: O Greenall & J Guerriero| OR:  110

Nothing to crow about in three runs over obstacles in France and never placed to challenge when 11th of 16 on British debut at Wetherby last month. Has a high enough rating on that evidence and may struggle, unless market suggests otherwise.

Milanstorm112
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: Jamie Bargary| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR:  105| CD

Landed bumper in heavy ground here last March and hans't really cut much ice in three starts over timber over 2m4f and this minimum trip. Handicap debut though for top yard so no great surprise to see him show some improvement.

Forecasts

Point Taken (7/2), Gwalia (7/2), Mauricio (5/1), Passing Dream (6/1), Sparky Stowaway (8/1), Milanstorm (8/1), Atlantic Storm (12/1), Champagne Mist (14/1), Kilchreest Moon (25/1), Lord De La Mine (50/1)

Verdict

An interesting handicap hurdle may well go the way of MAURICIO whose handler is a master at getting them ready following a break. He had been in fair form prior to his absence. Passing Dream stuck on well when scoring narrowly last time and should be in with a shout once again, while Point Taken and Milanstorm both represent powerful yards and are worth noting for any market support on their respective handicap debuts. Gwalia should give it a good go from the front too.
