Useful 133-rated handicap hurdler, not seen over the larger obstacles since finishing third of six well held at Limerick in October, leaving the Mustameet gelding without success in five chase starts. Not hard to look elsewhere.
Modest 99-rated, five race maiden hurdler who was 57L adrift of the winner on latest start in a Carlisle handicap last month over 3m1f. Looks a tall order on chasing introduction.
Solid and respected 144-rated hurdler last summer. Mark has dropped since but remains a lively recruit over fences. Looks a progressive type and holds strong claims.
Won last year's Triumph Hurdle, but has not found it easy since stepping into open company as proved when pulling up in the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham festival in March. At his age, an exciting newcomer over fences.
Forecasts
Cliff House (7/4), Farclas (2/1), Tigris River (2/1), Pegase Amour (20/1)
137-rated handicap hurdler Tigris River can give the Gigginstown House Stud-owned FARCLAS a run for his money here. The former Triumph hurdle winner, however, look an adaptable and exciting recruit to fences, collecting a confidence boosting win on debut here for trainer Gordon Elliott. Cliff House can pick up €1,000+ in prize money.
