Seven-year-old Beat All gelding makes racecourse appearance very late in the day. Hard to imagine he'll be able to make much of an impression unless market tells a different story.

Teofilo half-brother to Group 1 Middle Park Stakes winner Awzaan, but cost just £7000 in January. Finished distant fourth of six on only start for Mark Johnston in Ripon maiden last August. Yard does well with these types though so is respected.

Has shown very little in four starts to date, including when tailed off at Southwell last month on handicap bow off mark of just 50. Very hard to enthuse over even in this poor event.
Duke of Marmaldae filly who showed promise on only Flat start rto date when third over 1m2f at Ayyr ast summer. Has failed to take to hurdles in four starts since but has every chance here if reproducing Ayr run.

€85,000 yearling but failed to score in nine starts for Richard Hannon, including when beaten in 10f seller at Lingfield last month. Debut for new yard and has claims on pick of placed form last term, but may not be one to rely on.

Toronado filly cost 7,500 guineas as a yearling. Dam unraced daughter of Daylami. Makes first racecourse appearance for yard without success for 10 months and not known for debut maiden winners. Wouldn't need to be special though to figure here.

Forecasts

Glorious Dane (10/11), Tajdeed (7/4), Sweet Marmalade (8/1), Queen Emily (20/1), Zahraani (22/1), Nineteenrbo'malley (50/1)

Verdict

This is one of the weakest maidens you're likely to see but something has to win it and this could be a fair chance for SWEET MARMALADE who showed some ability on her only previous Flat outing before struggling in her career over timber. Tajdeed may prove the main danger and is open to improvement for a yard that does well with this type, while Glorious Dane is capable at this level but has looked a tricky customer. Debutante Queen Emily wouldn't have to be any great shakes to get invovled.
  1. Sweet Marmalade
  2. Tajdeed
  3. Glorious Dane
