Second start of the new term saw him blowing his rivals away over 7f at Musselburgh a fortnight ago. Has gone up 8lb for his troubles but could be more to come and likely goes very close again.
Most of his recent races have been on the AW, but he is capable on turf. Underwhelming seasonal reappearance at Newmarket, however, and again failed to beat home a rival since at Haydock.
Made every yard to win over C&D a year ago when rated 7lb higher, runner-up last time out on the AW and likely has leading role to play here.
Won an apprentice handicap at Lingfield on AW Finals Day over 7f, little bit more on his plate back on turf however.
Should be fitter for recent Newmarket comeback, picked up three wins last season in small-field events but others more likely here.
Scored over C&D a year ago, narrowly denied on the AW at Chelmsford last month on reappearance and should have more to come back on turf.
French import, yet to truly fire in two runs for this trainer over shorter trips and not certain to be suited upped in distance.
Dual winner at Windsor over 6f last summer. Best form over shorter and, in any case, require a career-best to defy current ratings.
Couple of good runs on the AW lately, on a very workable mark back on turf and has run well over C&D in the past; credible threat worth noting in betting.
No turf win since 2016, competitive on the AW of late but still would rank as a shock winner of this contest.
Has scored from this mark in the past, cheekpieces are returned here but still may prove vulnerable in this field.
Forecasts
Three Saints Bay (11/4), Love Dreams (4/1), Qaroun (5/1), Apex King (7/1), Moon Trouble (8/1), Manton Grange (10/1), Goring (12/1), Whitefountainfairy (12/1), Count Otto (16/1), Kimifive (20/1), Rufus King (33/1)
THREE SAINTS BAY blitzed his rivals at Musselburgh recently and while he has been bumped up 8lb for his troubles, he'll take some catching if repeating that dose now. C&D winner Love Dreams may give him something to think about from the front while Qaroun is another with winning form here meriting a close look. Any money behind Whitefountainfairy would take the eye.
- Three Saints Bay
- Love Dreams
