Went close to 25-1 shock over C&D last month and has generally been consistent at this venue of late. No reason he won't run well again.

Still a maiden but plenty of fair efforts in 10 starts, including close third when upped to 1m2f here in March. Goes out in trip once more and capable of getting in the mix.

Still a maiden but posted an improved effort here in March over 1m2½f under more forceful tactics in a claimer, just failing to see it out. Likely didn't relish soft ground on first start for this trainer / turf debut since.

Winner off a mark of 60 at Newcastle last August, best effort since when chasing home easy winner over 1m2½f here last month. Stays further than this, can be given a chance on latest effort.

Triple C&D winner who scored here a year ago off a mark of 72. Continues to run sound races in defeat, latest being 1½L third of 12 last month. Likely to give usual solid account.

Running well in defeat over this trip and shorter over the winter here, hitting the frame with great regularity but no wins. Not beaten all that far recent at Limerick on soft-ground. Can make another bid for minors.

9/1
Useful 125-rated handicap hurdler who has hit the frame on a couple of occasions around here over C&D. Hasn't run since poor effort here (2m) in December. Betting should reveal plenty on return.

Solid and consistent course form over 1m2½f, winning one of her six starts over the combination and hitting the frame on a further three occasions. Poor last month and untested over this trip.

Mare with 1-24 career record, has been out of form for a year now and no improvement over C&D last month on debut for this trainer (14-1). Others preferred at the moment.

Nothing of note in a couple of starts since returning to action in August, including a 9½L defeat over 1m2½f in December. Looks opposable.

16/1
Winner of four of his 32 starts over C&D, with the gelding's last success over the combination coming in November 2017 off a 6lb higher mark. Likely to find it tough going here having been beaten 8L in March when last spotted.

Age: 4|  Weight: 8-13| J: D E Sheehy(2)| T: R Brabazon| OR:  45
25/1
Filly failed to impress in sequence of outings through last summer/autumn (including here) and has plenty improvement to find having been tailed off at Limerick in reappearance.

Forecasts

Royal Admiral (7/2), Sharjah (7/2), Sleepy Head (9/2), Exclusive Waters (5/1), Poitin (7/1), Spanish Dawn (7/1), Time For Mabel (9/1), Shoofly (10/1), Cape Agulhas (12/1), Shake The Bucket (16/1), Spice Blossom (25/1), Getaway Queen (33/1)

Verdict

Poitin and Sharjah hold few secrets at this venue and it won't be a shock to find either in the firing line when it counts but perhaps CAPE AGULHAS can land the spoils here. He remains low-mileage and ran a much better race here in March under a positive ride. His Limerick effort since can be overlooked on account of the ground. Royal Admiral and Exclusive Waters are others to consider.
  1. Cape Agulhas
  2. Poitin
  3. Sharjah
