Well-handicapped mare with a good record in this grade. Needs to delivered as late as possible from off the pace and that requires some luck. Stable are in form and this will be her easiest task in a while.
Can be a bit in and out but he is better in this grade nowadays and would have been out of his depth last time. Should do better here and top rider has been booked.
Not at her best since her return from a 19 month absence. Dropped in class and headgear applied, so worth checking in the market given her yard's excellent record here with older horses (8-20 since 2014).
All six turf wins have come over C&D including three last year. Handles any ground but weighted to the hilt and tends to need a few runs following a break.
Winner of 10 races and has struck up a good partnership with this young rider. Left it very late to score at Nottingham last time after missing the break on his reappearance, so there is every chance he can defy a 3lb rise.
All three turf wins have come at Bath on firm ground. Attractively weighted at present and will improve for last month's reappearance, but conditions are unlikely to be fast enough.
Genuine mare who was a 20/1 winner on last year's reappearance off the same mark as today. Has won six races in this grade and been placed another eight times so she makes plenty of each-way appeal.
Admirable servant who has won 17 times in a 108 race career. Just 2lb above his last winning mark and he will be all the better for a recent spin at Beverley. Stable and rider have been in good form and he cannot be ruled out.
Forecasts
Fair Cop (3/1), Justice Lady (7/2), Union Rose (4/1), Major Valentine (5/1), Seamster (7/1), Powerful Dream (8/1), Quantum Dot (20/1), Silverrica (22/1)
Most of this field can be given a chance but lack of a recent run counts against Quantum Dot and Powerful Dream needs faster ground. Silverrica is on the right mark and can go well fresh whilst another veteran, Seamster, represents a yard in form. Union Rose will find this easier than last time and Fair Cop should be straighter following two runs after an absence. Major Valentine is hard to rule out when he is in such good form, but JUSTICE LADY is hard to overlook in this grade having dropped below her last winning mark and with her stable firing on all cylinders. Luke Morris will have to ride his luck but the filly should outclass these if getting the breaks.
- Justice Lady
- Major Valentine
- Silverrica
