6/1
Irish raider who is on a six-timer after five wins at Dundalk this winter where she has kept defying the handicapper time and again. This is much tougher but hard to know if there may still be improvement to come.

Looked all speed last year when winning over 5f at Musselburgh and Leicester, and was beaten just a length on recent reappearance in Listed event at Bath over minimum trip. Chance if she stays.

Landed first two starts as a juvenile last year and ran some good races in defeat at up to Group 3 level. Placed both starts this term in good handicap company and seems to have trained on well enough.

Unexposed Bated Breath filly who was a shock 20/1 scored on debut over C&D in February then caught close home when odds-on here last time. May be more to come and shouldn't be underestimated.

Yard still firing in the winners at 23%. Two wins last term at this trip but not seen since January when third in handicap off mark of 86. Has plenty to do on that evidence at this higher level.

Decent sort who was good second in Group 3 at Salisbury in September before easily landing the odds next time at Haydock. Not seen for seven months but yard going along nicely and no surprise to see her involved at finish.

8/1
Kodiac filly out of half-sister to French Group 1-winning sprinter. Third on debut at Kempton in the autumn and no mistake on reappearance at Newcastle when comfrotably landing 5f novice stakes. Should stay extra furlong and has decent claims.

Daughter of Dubawi won Yarmouth 6f novice stakes in October, had mixed luck in two start in Meydan this winter and was fit when fifth in Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes last time. Good chance on figures but may be vulnerable to improver.

33/1
Kodiac half-sister to Group 3-winning sprinter Extortionist. Built on promising Lingfield debut in November to bolt up next time over C&D soon after. Not seen for five months but yard in fine form with 40% strike rate so rates a danger.

2-2 with wins at Kempton and Lingfield, last time hacking up by six lengths in novice stakes creating fine impression. Good prospect and we should learn more about her now at this higher level.

Won C&D novice stakes last year among a number of respectable efforts. Hampered start and struggling after in Fred Darling last month and deserves another chance. Something to find on form though and will do well to grab some black type.

Royal Intervention278

7/2
Bolted up in listed Empress Stakes at Newmarket in June on second appearance, then runner-up in Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot following month. Subsequent absence a little worrying but would be a contender is she's trained on.

Fair handicapper in Ireland for Johnny Murtagh and of late for Roger Fell. Should win more races this term but this may be flying just a little too high for her.

Forecasts

Red Impression (5/2), Royal Intervention (7/2), Queen Jo Jo (11/2), Beau Warrior (6/1), Nashirah (6/1), Chapelli (8/1), Lufricia (8/1), Lady Aria (12/1), Isaan Queen (28/1), Fen Breeze (33/1), Raheeb (33/1), Blame Roberta (40/1), Roxy Art (40/1), Yolo Again (66/1)

Verdict

A fine line-up for this quality event and any number of potential winners. The unbeaten Red Impression could well be good enough but takes on much better opposition than she has faced to date and may find QUEEN JO JO too hot to handle. Kevin Ryan's filly had solid pattern form last term and looked to have trained on well when a good fifth at Newbury last month. Royal Intervention was a classy juvenile and is very much respected, along with unexposed fillies Raheeb, Lady Aria, and Lufricia. Irish raider Beau Warrior should run her race but may find this tough in search of a six-timer.
  1. Queen Jo Jo
  2. Red Impression
  3. Raheeb
