Questionare^t⁵⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: L Dettori| T: J & T Gosden

7/4

Derby entry who showed a willing attitude to justify favouritism on debut at Wolverhampton last month; the step up in trip will suit this son of Galileo and another bold attempt looks assured.

Form: 1

Rochester House²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-8| J: J F Egan| T: C & M Johnston

3/1

Built on a respectable effort on debut to win a three-runner novice stakes at Pontefract earlier this month; kept on strongly at the finish and the experience of racing over this trip is a big help. Can make this a good test.

Form: 21

(4)

Babbo's Boy¹²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: R L Moore| T: M L W Bell| OR: 79

15/8

Cost 110,000 gns and has shown ability in three starts so far; held by a Mark Johnston-trained hot-pot at Ripon last week but will get a lot of assistance from the saddle and would be dangerous to underestimate.

Form: 74-2

(2)

Vexed¹⁸¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: J P Spencer| T: D M Simcock

6/1

Cost 115,000 gns as a yearling but been well held in both previous starts up to press. The trip suits on pedigree but looks one who will do better once he contests handicaps; qualifies for a mark after this and can be placed to good effect.

Form: 73-

Forecasts

Questionare (7/4), Babbo's Boy (15/8), Rochester House (3/1), Vexed (6/1)

QUESTIONARE made a very pleasing start at Wolverhampton last month and, with the step up in trip guaranteed to suit if he runs true to the potential of his pedigree, the son of Galielo makes plenty of appeal in his bid to maintain his unbeaten status. Rochester House is a prime candidate to cut out the running and can ensure this is a good test of stamina, while Babbo's Boy has a likelable attitude and is entitled to be thereabouts. Vexed has shaped with promise but looks likely to do better in handicaps in the not too distant future.
