Cost £40,000 as a 2yo, dam a winner over 1m and is a half-sister to 1m7f Group 2 winner Vendangeur. Made little impact on debut at Newmarket last November but gelded since and may well improve. Yard 20% strike rate with their 3yos here.
Unraced at 2, and makes only minor appeal on breeding. Gelded for debut tonight and although surface may suit on pedigree, is best watched unless there's strong market support.
Nicely enough bred, half-brother to smart sprinter Holmeswood, who has done well for this yard, and this one has already shown plenty of ability having been runner-up in both starts last year. May yet do better again this year. Looks a player.
Good pedigree, full brother to Group 1 6f-7f winner Dick Whittington, and has improved on all of his three starts to date, showing bright speed at Kempton over 7f last time before fading. Drop back to 6f may see him off the mark at fourth attempt.
Makes little appeal on pedigree and made no impression at Wetherby on Sunday when last of 11 on debut, sent off a huge price. No realistic chance here.
Cost €41,000 as a two-year-old, closely related to Listed-placed (and 6f 2yo winner) Byzantium, and a half-sister to Tapeta winner New Road Side. Plenty of speed in the pedigree, then , and yard can ready them first time. Needs a market check.
Forecasts
You Little Ripper (8/15), Pendleton (5/2), Delachance (9/1), Gunnison (16/1), Senorita Grande (50/1), Pandora's Minder (250/1)
Senorita Grande and Delachance both requite a look in the market, as support for either would make them of interest, but on what we know this concerns Pendleton, who looks the sort to progress this term, and YOU LITTLE RIPPER, who with the benefit of guaranteed fitness, might be good enough to get off the mark at the fourth attempt. The drop back to 6f shouldn't inconvenience him and he looks the one to beat.
- You Little Ripper
- Pendleton
- Delachance
