Won twice in three starts when trained by Kevin Ryan and ran well in a valuable Goodwood handicap on stable debut last summer. Gelded ahead of disappointing Newbury reappearance and now up in trip and down in grade.
Won his first two at Lingfield(AW) before struggling in better company last year. Welcome drop in grade for reappearance but yet to place in five previous turf starts.
Improved effort from first three starts when staying on for a strong win in novice company at Newcastle in December. Likely to appreciate further in time but looks the type to improve considerably with age.
Has raced exclusively at Kempton since arriving from France winning four times in the process. Proving progressive but latest run suggests the handicapper may be catching up and needs to transfer the form to turf.
Back to form and posted a career-best win when last seen at Kempton in October. 4lb rise unlikely to be an issue with more to come and has won following a break the last twice. Leading contender.
Yet to add to debut success for Eve Johnson Houghton despite a number of near misses. Two Flat and two hurdle starts for current yard and seemingly improved up to this trip at Kempton when staying on strongly. Should have more to offer.
Former C&D winner but last two wins came at Epsom back in 2017. Needed a couple of runs to get going last year and likely best watched on reappearance.
Remains 6lb higher than sole win in a low grade handicap over this C&D. Good effort on reappearance on the AW and better on turf. Possibilities if building on the run.
Forecasts
Perfect Illusion (4/1), Victory Chime (5/1), C'Est No Mour (11/2), Persian Sun (11/2), New Show (6/1), Ilhabela Fact (7/1), Tiar Na Nog (7/1), Running Cloud (12/1)
It's quite possible that Persian Sun could improve right past these on his reappearance while Victory Chime goes very well fresh and rates a danger. Narrow preference is for RUNNING CLOUD who was just given too much to do last time and has more to offer over this distance for an in-form yard.
- Running Cloud
- Persian Sun
- Victory Chime
