Forecasts

Bowerman (11/8), Tough Remedy (7/2), Trevithick (9/2), Bobby K (7/1), Gurkha Friend (10/1), Ballard Down (14/1), Nicholas T (22/1), Moonlightnavigator (100/1)

Verdict

Trevithick is as honest as the day is long and he absolutely adores racing at Gosforth Park but faces a sterner test in this Class 3 handicap so is begrudgingly opposed on that basis. Bobby K also has the required attributes for a driving finish, doing nothing other than improve throughout the entirety of 2018. However, the most intriguing horse in the line-up is the very-lightly raced Roger Varian-trained 5yo BOWERMAN. He evidently has his issues, although without doubt no shortage of ability either and can be expected to relish returning to an artificial surface. If any horse has the potential to be better than a handicapper in the future, it is he.
  1. Bowerman
  2. Bobby K
  3. Trevithick
