Both career wins over 6f but seemed to stay 7f in limited evidence to date. Bit disappointing latest in second seasonal start so more needed here.
Previous C&D winner ended last season with success at Chelmsford but as a result will start this season at highest mark since 2014. That said he can go well fresh.
Seemed to lose way late on last season after a win at Brighton. Handicap mark not impossible here on return having been freshened up.
Improved effort latest in second start for this yard when fourth at Brighton. Well averse in contests such as this and one of a not-so-short shortlist.
Seven-time winner including C&D a likable sort but not exactly well-handicapped at present and may need the run here.
Won first time out in two of his three seasons to date. 10lb lower than first time out win last season due to subsequent poor run but now may well be time to catch him.
Won a couple of times last season although ended season with a poor run. Handicap mark just about within range and 7f here should be ideal.
Generally runs over trips of 1m plus. Far from prolific and ended last season with a series of modest efforts so more minuses than plusses overall.
Went well off higher marks a few times last season and not far off that level latest either. Not an impossible task here by any stretch but hasn't won since debut in Italy in 2015.
Won twice on AW in 2017 but not since. Continued regression since switching yards and hard to recommend.
17lb lower than win just last August but there's good reason for that. Changed hands a few times since but to no avail and hard to fancy after deplorable effort latest.
Won a couple of times last spring but both came over 5f and little in the formbook to suggest she will stay 7f here.
In really good form since joining this yard including a win at Lingfield earlier this month and third latest. Worry is that eight of his nine wins come on AW now back on turf but couldn't rule him out
Won twice at Brighton last season and remained mostly competitive after second of them. Starts out here needing to be at his very best.
Really gotten his act together late on AW and followed a maiden success with two solid efforts since. Turf here for just the second time but one of very few on an upward curve so has to be considered.
17-race maiden showed nothing over hurdles and similar story latest back on the level. Easily passed over despite first-time blinkers.
Lone win on AW and for all he ran well enough at Notts latest there are doubts aplenty about whether he will stay 7f here.
30-race maiden and that will never change if in form of when last seen two years ago.
Forecasts
Fieldsman (9/2), Letmestopyouthere (5/1), Purple Paddy (13/2), Winklemann (8/1), Clement (8/1), Perfect Symphony (10/1), Hedging (14/1), Squire (14/1), Champagne Bob (16/1), Swissal (16/1), Coastal Cyclone (20/1), Masquerade Bling (20/1), Edge (20/1), Imbucato (33/1), Who Told Jo Jo (40/1), Machiavelian Storm (66/1), Tuscany (100/1), Golden Footsteps (100/1)
A near-impossible handicap can go the way of HEDGING who won first time out last season off a 10lb higher mark, he also won first time out as a two-year-old so may be the sort best caught fresh, that's the hope here. Clement has been running well since joining this yard although he's always been best on AW. Improving Purple Paddy is another of the likely sorts.
- Hedging
- Clement
- Purple Paddy
